Karen Svensson-Lee Special Order: PassionFlute Play Piccolo in D5, Custom Glaze (Purple Crystal)

$239.00

Special order for Karen Svensson-Lee:

Hi Karen! I realised I didn’t ask which embouchure hole you’d like. I’ve added a selection box for you to choose.

Here’s the embouchure section from my customisation guide to help you decide. If you have any questions at all, simply reply to our email chain and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!

Embouchure:

There are 3 different embouchure hole styles available.

Rounded rectangle embouchure holes are known for being the most loud and powerful and are often regarded as being easy to play. This embouchure style also tends to suit those who play metal Boehm flutes and is a more modern design of hole.

Ellipse embouchure holes tend to add a little more darkness, texture and focus to the sound at the cost of not being able to go quite as loud. These embouchure holes are common on Irish flutes and are an older style of embouchure hole.

“Two Semi Circle” embouchure holes function as an in between on the two former styles, having some curve of the Ellipse, but a straighter edge more reminiscent of the Rounded Rectangle. This embouchure hole acts as an intermediary in volume and power between the other styles.

All of my embouchure holes are free blowing and easy to play.
